For educators
Spell Forge School teaches spelling through morphology — roots, prefixes and suffixes — rather than synthetic phonics drilling. It's aimed at children who read reasonably well but still struggle to spell, and who have often already been through phonics-based programmes without it sticking.
It is designed to sit alongside phonics teaching, not replace it.
